It's a Christmas Miracle!

Two blog posts in two weeks, amazing! I hope this post finds you all well, happy and satisfied with all you have in this life.

I'd like to thank the Academy... well actually the very funky chickie Sue

For my fabulous blog award as seen below. I would know like to bestow this award on some lovely ladies!

Chloe - a lovely lady who I'm on the DT with at Scrapping 2 Perfection, so nice and so talented as well.

Avie - a beautiful soul who treats me like a long time friend, even though we've never met in real life.

Danielle - a hippy chick, with a cute mutt and so much talent!

Hannah - another one of my old Allcraftz chums, who has a lovely heart and also talent to boot!

Sue - the gorgeous lady who gave me this award in the first place, I didn't think it was possible but her scrapbooking layouts just keep getting better and better!

Strassman

We went and saw Strassman for Ted E. Bear's last show on Friday nigh (12 March 2010) and it was frickin' brilliant, would have sat there for the second show if I thought I could have got away with it!

Ted E. Bear, Chuck, Sid, Kevin and more were all fabulous, even the little stuffs up along the way were hysterically and there will be two people who will NEVER be late for anything again!

Here are just a few pics of the theatre/stage before the show (no photos during the show).

Scrapper Time

I have done two layouts this weekend, both for challenges at Scrapping 2 Perfection, but I must admit I'm only going to share one of them as I've decided I despise the other layout I did and it shall be banished from my creative memory!

Here is the layout I've done for fellow DT'er Chloe's March Number Challenge.

Criteria for this challenge was:
  • 1 journal spot/tag;
  • 2 different ribbons;
  • 3 patterned papers;
  • 4 flowers; and
  • 5 pieces of chipboard.
And the theme for March for all challenges is Nature/Scenery.

Thanks again to Scrapmanda for letting me use her Xmas card photo, it such a great photo of Amanda and her family and it lent itself very well to the theme.

Fox on the Run

Thanks for dropping by, must get to bed as it's a 'skool' day tomorrow. Have a fantastic week, take care, love fierce, shop more, treat yourself more and smile more!

Regularly Irregular!

Yep, that's me as a blogger....

But what can I say, the spirit is willing but the flesh is too frickin' lazy? Bahahahaha!

Scrapping 2 Perfection

Well we had our first CyberCrop (CC) over at Scrapping 2 Perfection a few weeks back and I believe we didn't quite well. Thanks to a couple of my friends who came over and checked it all out, was so good to have you join in the fun, hope to see you back there again soon.

Some of the design team layouts (LOs) and cards are show below. All items made with kits supplied by Vicki @ Scrapping 2 Perfection.

My first DT layouts and digital sketch for the debut CC - 'Valentine's Day'. Hope you likey.

Our theme for the monthly/credit challenges this month is 'Nature/Going Green'.

This layout was created for the Recycling Challenge, I used Prima packaging as well as some plastic from a box that contained my speakers I bought for my computer.

Next layout is for the recipe challenge.

Thirdly my 123 card challenge with the added criteria of boy/male card.

I was also lucky enough to take out this month's kit challenge prize again at Scrapping 2 Perfection!

I created this layout of the furkids using the February kit contents....

Wicked!

Did some of the CC challenges over at Wicked Princess. Wicked Princess is owned by the lovely Krissy who used to be on the DT at Allcraftz with the equally talented Hannah (Bubblefrog).

I managed to do the card challenge and a layout challenge, check out what I did below.

Life. Be in it.

Working, went to see Oma and Bruce did some Aikido, that's been about it for awhile for us, not even any shopping due to a few other monetary commitments (i.e. bills). Hope to do something exciting for my birthday, even if it's just down to Viva Italia on the Esplanade for lunch.

Have a great week, no matter what you are doing keeping on smiling and scrappin'.

Hear all about it!

I know, three weeks has flown by again with out a post, have been thinking about blogging though, just haven't put the thought into ACTION!

Newsflash!

I have been asked to be part of the design team for Scrapping 2 Perfection, yeah me! Amazing shite I know!

I have done some sample layouts for the store and credit challenges and am currently working on the February CyberCrop (CC) challenges.

Come on over and say hi, nice bunch of crazy ladies over there (small community, so don't feel apprehensive.)

I was also selected as the Scrapper in the Spotlight over @ Scrapbooking Top 50, check out my Q & A here.

Loooong weekend

Yep, last week for Australia Day. I was lucky enough to have four days off, yes four days and used most of it to scrap and watch movies and nap.

Unfortunately Bruce had to work three of those four days but as I said, I did get a chance to do some scrapbooking.

Work

Bruce has had a fair bit of work of late which is fabulous, especially when we are saving for his BIG 40th birthday present - a big TV AND headphones.

My work is fine - busy, had some late afternoons but it is our busiest time of the year.

Scrapbooking

Here's what I've been creating over the last two weeks.

This layout was for the February Store Credit 3 in 1 challenge I created for the February store credit challenges over at Scrapping 2 Perfection.

The layout below was used as a sample for the February Use Your Stash Challenge in the Store Credit competition.

This was Victoria's Use Your Stash challenge and the sample I created.

Scrapping 2 Perfection hosted a CC over at PurpleScraps last week and this is two of the challenges I managed to get done - once again a use your stash + other criteria as well as use an owl on your page.

This layout is for the Ugly Paper challenge at Scrapping 2 Perfection - I had so many PPs to choose from... sad but oh so true.

Now this digital layout was created for Scrapping 2 Perfection's monthly challenge for January - resolutions for 2010, I actually had mine as goals, rather than resolutions.

Couple of cards

These were for Mum's birthday last year and for a friend's 40th in a couple of weeks!

This layout is my first EVER speed/blind scrap, quite pleased with the results for a cherry breaker!

Another quick digital layout for over at Scrapbooking Top 50 Australia, for their January CyberCrop - 2009: A Year in Review.

I did mine digitally as I didn't have any of the photos printed!

This layout and my favourite so far, is for the January store credit challenge - Just Love Those Flowers.

These two items were created with the Scrapping 2 Perfection January Monthly Kit. I managed to do a layout and a card from the contents with still a fair bit left over.

I have since won for this layout and have received next month's February kit!

Scrapping 2 Perfection's 7 Sketches in 7 Days

Here are all the sketches that I have done for the above competition which you can see here.

I quite like a few AND it MADE me scrap each night, which wasn't always so good after 5.30pm finishes, but I did it!

Here's the 7 sketches and below are my interpretations.

N.B. The seventh sketch was created by yours truly. :)

Mini Road Trip

Made a trip over to see Oma and for Bruce to do some specialised Aikido training, lovely day, if very stormy and wet over there and we were tired from getting up so early - on a Sunday - in perfect sleeping in weather!

Have a fantastic week, and if you made it this far down in the post, bless you and thank you!!

Cheers!

Friday on my mind

Yep, it's only late Sunday night, but already I'm looking forward to next weekend, so sad but yet so true.

We all need something to look forward to don't we?? Keep us going throughout the long working week.

See, think about, it's true.

It's all happening

As mentioned before I was asked to be a guest design team member for Scrapbooking Top 50 for their January CyberCrop (CC).

Here is my challenge which includes my sketch and also my sample layout for this challenge.

Hope you can click on the link and check it out!

But wait there's more

I have also been asked to do a bit of creating for the Scrapping 2 Perfection forum too, this will be every three months or so.

What did you do on the weekend?

Well, we have finally had some DVDs to watch - GI Joe (OK); Drag me to Hell (funny and gross); The Ugly Truth with yummy Gerard Butler (funny) and The Taking of Pelham 123 (Denzel Washington and John Travolta were awesome!)

Bruce had to work of course, but only half day Saturday (yeah) and I got a 'mad fit' in my head and decided to overhaul my scraproom and try and get it together, especially now I have 'work' commitments to completed while working full days.

Thanks for dropping by, nothing else to report, except maybe it's frickin hot. Have a great week friends, please leave me some love!

MWAH!!

Reality Bites

Indeed when you finish holidays and it's back to the work and the usual grind. But as I keep repeating to myself - at least I have a job, at least I have a job and really it's a pretty good one when I think about it!

Excitement (non-scrappers skip ahead)

I have been asked to be a guest design team member at Scrapbooking Top 50! Check out the post here.

I will share with you later what I did for Top 50, I'd like to thank the boss Vicki and team members Sue and Kathie for their faith in this 'average' scrapbooker. MWAH!

Fully sick

My man is still not 100%, finally got into the doctor today and he has some antibiotics so hopefully that will help.

I suffered a head cold for a few days a week, so what you say? Well I felt like crud, couldn't believe how bad I felt just with a runny nose, sore throat and sore head.
Thankfully I was feeling better by Friday so it made for a good weekend.

The week's end

Saw us chillaxing at home, gaming, computer and for moi, scrapping. Quiet weekend once again (so what's new you say while eye rolling?). B had to work most of the weekend, so I spent most of my time nanna napping and how good was that?!

That's it for now, quick catch me up. Have a fantastic weekend all, see you soon.
